Belgian artist DIRK SERRIES has experimented with music on the border between avant-garde, industrial, experimental, and ambient for more than 30 years. He released his earliest work behind the pseudonym vidnaObmana (1984-2007), with which he gained worldwide praise (realizing an extensive discography, including albums on Projekt, Relapse Records, etc.). When he closed the book on this project he moved on to his Streams Of Consciousness series, the purest form of ambience. The set-up is simple: an electric guitar, a pedal board of effects. No edits, no additional layering. While Serries has always been on the move with creating genre-bending music, this ambient series is his most personal, honest and transparent music to date with clear references to his vidnaObmana oeuvre.

An haven for his complexless performances of what he calles himself ‘his vintage ambient music’. Relying entirely on his ability to create these linear masses of ambience from scratch and real-time on the electric guitar and just a handful of pedal effects – no computer is applied. No post-production or editing is involved.
