Totally shocked by the news that Bob Rusche passed away. Since our very first encounter in the successful days of Boudisque Records in the eighties, Bob and I kept in touch. It was thanks to Bob I got to play 3 times on the excellent X-rated, back then on KINK FM where he ran the radio show with his good friend the late Arjen Grolleman, and joined the X-rated festival at Paradiso in 2002.
Bob was a walking musical encyclopedia, not once was I able to introduce new music to him, no matter how obscure the music was I tried to challenge him with. But also a super friendly and warm person, every time, anywhere we met at festivals, at concerts or at the concertzender.
With Bob we’re loosing one of the independent radio giants and a dear comrade.
